The Last Texas Canyon on Earth
Upper Nuéces Basin of Texas
Welcome to the Upper Nuéces Basin Website.
This website has been in the making for several years and is designed to help bring the Upper Nuéces Basin’s communities together, provide tourists and visitors with travel information and list “Open to the Public” events.
Presently the UNB Site is not setup to conduct advertising or commercial business. If you would like your business or service listed for free please fill out the form on the advertising page of this site and we’ll get it posted. If you want a business card posted “camera ready art” must be sent to our Webmaster Mr. Harold Nelson at firstname.lastname@example.org. There will be no listing or advertising charges until next year.
If you would like to post your community’s “Open to the public” events on the website’s “Calendar of Events” please let us know the specifics. All event requests must;
- Be open to the general public.
- Be accompanied with a downloadable flyer with all pertinent information.
- Contact information including an email and phone number.
- If any event is cancelled, postponed or otherwise changed the UNB site must be notified ASAP.
We welcome any suggestions, information corrections or criticisms. Please keep in mind that we’re just getting started and please be patient as we learn our way around. All posts and replies will be reviewed by UNB Staff before being published on the site.
Special Note: Please do not litter, drive motorized vehicles on our river banks or bring glass containers to the rivers. The folks who live in the UNB are very proud of the Basin’s natural beauty and pristine rivers and, with the help of our Sheriffs Departments, Game Wardens and involved citizens, we will make every effort to keep it clean and safe for everyone. Please observe all Private Property, No Trespassing, No Parking and No Littering signs as they will be enforced.
Upper Nuéces Basin
Staff & Volunteers
We are friends and neighbors from the Upper Nueces and local areas who have come together with the idea of launching a new kind of website, an Interactive Community Planner. The Website is being designed to help visitors easily navigate the entire Upper Nueces Basin including the best routes to take and an “Events Calendar” that will show all of the “Open to the Public” activities and items of special interest going on in the Basin. There will even be a place to post citywide swap meets and garage sales.
The mission of the UNB Website is to encourage communication and support between the inter-basin communities, to provide day-trippers, vacationers and retirees with travel, lodging, fuel and restaurant information and to highlight the best in entertainment and shopping the UNB has to offer.
